I have spent the last week, recouperating from surgery and trying to get over the flu. The surgery recovery is going well, my shoulder is feeling much better and I am getting more movement everyday. The flu is another story. On December 30, I started running a fever and when it reached 103 degrees, I called my Doctor and told him that I was running the fever. My incisions looked good so there was not much chance of infection. He suggested that I go to the walkin clinic and get checked out. After waiting almost 2 hours I was seen by a Nurse practitioner and they did a test and waaa laaaa, I have the flu. I got the flu shot, but either my serum was not good or I have the flu that the shot did not protect me against.
Today is my 8th day of running a fever. I have been drinking, water, hot tea, orange juice and soda. I feel like I am going to float away. I sure hope that this bug goes away soon.
Enough about feeling puny!
Last summer I made the decision that I was going to try a different way of Scrapbooking. It is called Project Life. I have always loved scrapbooking, but I tend to get too caught up in the creation of the pages themselves and then I don't get all of the daily life memories recorded. I feel that Project life will allow me to document our life a little more thouroughly. I was hesitant to start because it is just Tony and I and our pets here everyday. I thought that it would be boring. I researched lots of layouts and ways that others were doing documenting their Project Life. After doing so I decided that I needed to do this for at least one year and see if I like it.
I have enjoyed the first week and am happy to say that I have 2013 Week 1 in the album and documented. It may be boring for some to read, but I like it. When we look back we will remember what we did the first week of the Year.
I am using the Cobalt Edition for this year. I purchased it from Amazon.com. There are quite a few different Editions so you should be able to find one that you like.
This is the first page of my 2013 album. I was not sure how to start, so I decided to start with saying goodbye to 2012. I included a photo of Tony and one of myself and listed out the highlights of the pas year. I included a piece of patterned paper that matched the edition I am using and will maybe add something to that but, I may just leave it as it is.
The next 2 pages are my fisrt week of the year. I am thinking already that I really like this way of documenting our life.
One of the things that I want to do every week is document the weather and my weight. I have been doing Weight Watchers since October and have lost 25 pounds, so by including my weight each week it will help to keep me on track. I use my iphone for the weather photo.
So there you have it. My Project Life for 2013. I am really thinking that I will like it and even tho I have been sick for the first week it was doable. It will be fun to see how it progresses.
Thanks for looking and if you are doing project life leave me a comment I would love to check yours out.
